Bring your data online

Xceed Analytics makes it easy to derive value from data while letting users interactively explore all relevant data from internal & external systems. It enables you to connect with your data through a variety of pre-built data connectors. It steers you through a simple process of bringing the data in for analysis and helps you organize the data scattered across various systems into a single datasets view for analysis.

Bringing your data online is a two step process.

  1. Create a Data Connection

  2. Create a Dataset

Creating & Managing Data Connections

Data Connectors View providers a single landing area to create new or manage existing data connections.

Creating New Data Connections

All the pre-built data connectors supported by Xceed Analytics are displayed in Data Connection page. This is where you can choose from available data connectors and create connections. These prebuilt connectors are classified as follows:

  1. Local files

  2. Web based Storage

  1. SQL Connectors such as
  1. NoSQL Databases
  1. Web API Connectors
  1. FTP/SFTP

All the connectors supported by Xceed Analytics are given below with details on how to create respective connections. We continue to add more and more connectors with every release. Please check back with us on customer-success@cynepia.com for your specific connector interests.

Managing Data Connections

Connect to your Google Analytics data. This is accessible via Oauth 2.0.

Deleting a Connection

  1. Click the Edit icon edit_icon.png

  2. Select the connection you want to delete

  3. Click the trash icon thrash_icon.png on on the connection that needs to be deleted.

  4. You will be asked to confirm.

Once confirmed, the connection will be deleted and will no longer be available under the list of Connections

When you delete a connection, any datasets created from the connection will also be deleted . Other users who may be using the datasets will no longer be able to use the datasets for analysis. Any stories created using the datasets will no longer be available to view or update.

Editing Connection Details

Editing a connection is not supported in this release. If, however, you still intend to edit the connection details, you need to delete the current connection and create a new connection with modified connection information.
