Create Policies

Policies is a view where you can create templates for all the permissions you want to give your user and attach them while adding a new user to Xceed Analytics.

There are 4 kinds of permissions an admin can give to a user

  • Viewer : User will be able to only View the workflows , dashboards or a dataset being created
  • Collaborator : User will be able to only View and Share the workflows , dashboards and datasets.
  • Editor : User will be able to Edit workflows , dashboards and datasets.
  • Author : The highest level of permission where user can Create , Delete ,Share and View everything in Xceed Analytics

Click on th + icon to start creating Policies

Parameters​

There are few parameters to be filled to create a permission policy

  • Policy Name : Fill the Policy Name to be created.
  • Description : Write up a little about the policy being created
  • Services : Services is all the components inside Xceed Analytics.
  • Enable Action : Choose one of the permissions supported for each Service.

Click on Add to finish creating a policy template

The policy template will be listed in the main view

Delete Policy​

To delete a Policy, You only need to click on the Name of the Policy you want to delete. Once you click on the Name , you will see the Delete icon come up like the one below
